The East Central Indiana region, encompassing Blackford, Delaware, Fayette, Grant, Henry, Jay, Randolph, and Wayne counties, has received $35 million in funding from Indiana's Regional Economic Acceleration and Development Initiative (READI), the second highest allotment in round two.

The East Central Indiana Regional Partnership recently hosted its annual luncheon, a gathering that highlighted the region's achievements, recognized outstanding contributors, and provided insights into future endeavors.

2023 has been a year of transformative growth and exciting developments for the East Central Indiana Regional Partnership and its communities. From receiving the first READI dollars at Vision Corner Learning Center in February to the completion of phase three of the Wilbur Wright Trail in November, the region has seen a flurry of activity and positive changes. In a strategic move to strengthen economic development across the region, the East Central Indiana Regional Partnership (ECIRP) has undertaken comprehensive preparation for the upcoming READI 2.0 funding opportunity. Building on insights drawn from READI 1.0, ECIRP has diligently engaged stakeholders, conducted workshops, and refined its regional development plan to ensure a strong application for the next round of state funds.
